We finally have a trailer for the second season of The Mandalorian, that kind of slow-paced western based on the Star Wars universe that got us hooked on Disney + (to later forget that the platform existed). The trailer does not reveal much, but it brings us a few seconds of Baby Yoda on screen that we needed like May water.
The Mandalorian Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) returns to Disney + on October 30 with the friends he made along the way in the events of the first season: the mercenary Cara Dune (Gina Carano) and the head of the bounty hunter guild, Greef Karga (Carl Weathers). We’re picking up where we left off: Mando has set out in search of El Niño’s fellow species, but will have to stay safe from the sinister Marshal of the Galactic Empire, Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito) and his black-bladed weapon, the Darksaber.
If the first season followed almost exclusively the point of view of the Mandalorian, the second will open up to new stories in which many new characters await us that we recognize from other Star Wars titles. Rosario Dawson will play Ahsoka Tano, the Togruta-race Jedi who was an apprentice to Anakin Skywalker in The Clone Wars. Temuera Morrison will play the mythical Boba Fett, who made two brief appearances in the original Star Wars trilogy. Katee Sackhoff will play the Mandalorian Bo-Katan Kryze, and Michael Biehn and Timothy Olyphant will play characters as yet unknown.
To find out if Moff Gideon gets his dirty hands on the lovable Baby Yoda, open Disney + on October 30 (or when the platform finally arrives in Latin America, on November 17).
