According to the municipality, more and more people are using the shared bicycles and scooters. This not only concerns residents, but also visitors to the city. More and more providers of partial transport are also being added. The municipality welcomes this, because it wants to discourage car use in the city.
But the arrival of shared bicycles has also caused a lot of annoyance and inconvenience. Especially in the early years, bicycles and scooters were parked in large numbers in places where they were not allowed. Residents also complained that they could no longer store their own bicycle in the forest of shared bicycles.
At the beginning of this year, the municipality therefore introduced a licensing system for the providers of shared bicycles and scooters. That system will be evaluated at the end of 2020 and the results of the public survey are included in this. This is a concise questionnaire about the use of shared transport and about the users themselves.
