In the absence of official news from Nintendo, many rumors and alleged leaks The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 have appeared online. Perhaps one of the largest is the Bond of the Triforce rumor that that would be the title, just as there are prisons where Link and Zelda have to cooperate to complete. The latest rumor does not contradict this and also reveals some interesting details about its history, gameplay and main antagonist.
According to this alleged loss, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 will take place immediately after the first game, with Link and Zelda attempting to rebuild Hyrule as they face a new threat. There will be flashback sequences and memories, just like the first game, but they are said to be before Link slept for 100 years and goes even further back than the original. The source indicates that these memories are “very much Godfather Part II-esque “, but did not go into further details.

The source also indicated that Ganon will not return Breath of the Wild 2, although this makes sense as a direct sequel. Also, in the original reveal trailer there was an enemy that many believe to be Zant, the antagonist of twilight princess, and therefore this is not really a stretch of the imagination. This would likely disappoint fans of the rehydrated Ganon meme, however.
Of course, the real question is how precise this “loss” is. The Redditor who published it, u / BobisTheWise, says that their source has been accurate previously, describing them as spot-ons regarding Xenoblade 2 a whole year before its release. But even if this source can be believed, BobisTheWise cannot really be. It is the only user post on Reddit and therefore the source itself could be invented.
As such, and will be all rumors related The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2, it is better to take it with a strong dose of salt. It appears to be false and probably guesswork, since nothing here seems as substantial as it is described. Having said that, stranger things have happened than the single voices, so fans should wait and see what Nintendo has to say about the game, hopefully sooner or later.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 is in development for Nintendo Switch.
