A massive contagion of Covid-19 is taking place in the Uruguayan delegation who participated in the duels before Colombia and Brazil on the way to Qatar 2022 World Cup, after confirming that two more players tested positive for coronavirus on this day and raised to 14 the total number of infected.
The Uruguayan Nacional midfielder Gabriel Neves and Benfica forward Darwin Núñez are the two new cases of infected in La Celeste.
In addition, the Uruguayan press assures that the number can be raised to 15 if it is confirmed that Brian Rodríguez, from Los Angeles FC in the United States, also tested positive.
Neves and Núñez joined Matías Viña (Palmeiras), Luis Suárez (Atlético de Madrid), Rodrigo Muñoz (Cerro Porteño), Diego Rossi (Los Angeles FC), Alexis Rolín and Lucas Torreira (Atlético de Madrid), in addition to six members of the National Team staff.
