WATCH DOGS LEGION – Ubisoft has confirmed that Watch Dogs Legion is part of a set of games delayed until later in 2020.

The question then arose, and Yves Guillemot answered it: these three games will be Cross-Gen, in order to use to their advantage the new features and new hardware that will be offered by the consoles of the new generation. Creations of players integrated into the game
Like the community operation carried out for Beyond Good & Evil 2, Ubisoft is renewing a partnership with HitRecord, Joseph Gordon-Lewitt’s company. The idea is to integrate the creations of the community into the game world, here Watch Dogs Legion, as announced on the official Ubisoft website: “Whether you are a musical composer, a writer, a singer, a player, or someone with big ideas and a lot of passion … we can’t wait to hear your musical compositions. As in any creative endeavor, some ideas will go no further, and will not materialize as expected, while certain elements will not be suitable for the game. “
The problem that many people raise is the method of payment. As explained in English in a video, HitRecords wants to pay the artists who are selected at the end of the event up to $ 2,000 per music, separated between the different creators of each music. The problem raised here by the artists is the dimension of competition for this event. Indeed, even if you produce something, you will not necessarily be paid if you are not chosen. Ubisoft has therefore been accused of favoring potentially free work. Obviously, the vision on the side of Ubisoft is quite different, since it is a community dimension which is envisaged, with a freedom of participation.

“God Save the NPC” was the phrase that teased the new title of the Watch Dogs license. After Chicago and San Francisco, Watch Dogs arrives in Europe, in a dystopian version of London. The developers have located the action taking place in the near “post-Brexit” future, far from the apolitical idea that the publisher has claimed in recent years. The game stages an advanced humanity, supported or replaced by artificial intelligence. London is under the control of Albion, a paramilitary society that makes order on the streets with the help of many drones and even more cameras. Faced with this bleak picture, the population organized itself into a resistance group: DedSec.
All the possibilities offered are in line with Watch Dogs, and many are pirated. Whether it’s a computer server, a delivery drone or cameras, everything is always hackable. But the great novelty of this title is at the level of the characters. To advance on each objective, you will need to call on one or more characters. These characters have their own characteristics, but above all they belong to the world of NPC, or non-player character. Each character you meet will be a potential recruit for your rebel group.
