Handball will be no exception. Like almost all sporting events in recent days, the six Olympic Qualification Tournaments have been postponed. Thus, the three women’s tournaments, which were to take place from March 20 to 22, and the three men’s, originally scheduled from April 17 to 19, have been postponed to June.
“The International Handball Federation has just announced the postponement of the six Olympic Qualification Tournaments which were to take place in March and April. France, the organizer of one of them (in men, editor’s note) with the aim of qualifying its national men’s team, remains awaiting the decisions of international handball bodies, ”reads the official press release of the French Handball Federation (FFH).
In addition, the French women were to meet two weeks before the TQO. That’s no longer news. “The two weeks of gathering of the French women’s teams A and A ‘which were to take place between the Maison du Handball, Croatia and Montbéliard are entirely canceled. Indeed, taking into account the arrangements made by the EHF this Friday March 13 concerning the holding of sporting events, the qualification matches for the EHF Euro 2020 opposing the French women’s team to Croatia on Wednesday March 25 and Sunday March 29 in Osijek and Montbéliard are officially reported ”, informs the FFH.
