The Volvo XC60 has been upgraded to have an onboard system from Google

The Volvo XC60 is the Swedish carmaker’s most popular model in the long run, so it was only a matter of time before the company decided to make it more attractive. Information about the update for 2022 was first provided by the Volvo-pics fan website and then confirmed by the manufacturer himself.

As expected, the Volvo of the XC60 practically did not change its appearance, because it was and still is a big weapon of the car. Others are dimmed taillights and also completely concealed tailpipes.

The biggest change is the infotainment, which works on the basis of the Google Android operating system. This allows you to use applications such as Google Maps, Google Assistant and others in the car, which can be downloaded to the system from the Google Play online store. The system works on the basis of remote data storage.

Officially, Volvo has not yet announced anything about whether something will change under the hood of a smaller SUV. Volvo-pics talks about improving the electric range of the plug-in hybrid version of the car. The other engines will then operate within the existing mild-hybrid technology using recuperation.

Volvo also announced the introduction of ADAS security systems in the upgraded XC60, which work in conjunction with several radars, sensors and cameras. Thanks to smart software, the car can stop on its own, stay in the right lane or monitor other drivers and pedestrians in the area and react to their attacks.

The Swedes intend to start selling improved SUVs around the middle of 2021, production should start at the end of May this year. The price has not been announced yet.
