PlayStation Plus in October 2021
PlayStation Plus members can look forward to three exciting titles soon. From October 5th you can download the following games: “Hell Let Loose” (PS5), “Mortal Kombat X” (PS4) and “PGA Tour 2K21” (PS4). PS Plus members still have the chance until October 5th to redeem the September games “HITMAN 2”, “Predator: Hunting Grounds” and “Overcooked! All You Can Eat”. Those who now complete their 14-day trial membership have the option of adding both the September and October games to their own games library.
Sony takes over Bluepoint Games
Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) announces the acquisition of Bluepoint Games. The studio is a renowned developer and long-term partner of Sony Interactive Entertainment and has distinguished itself in the past primarily through the development of remasters and remakes, which have received high praise from critics. Bluepoint Games can look back on more than 15 years of cooperation with PlayStation and will support the creation of future PlayStation Studios products with its experience in the development of high-quality worlds and characters. With each of their projects, Bluepoint has raised the bar for console-defining graphics and gameplay, creating some of the highest quality remasters and remakes in the industry. Bluepoint’s most recent release, the PS5 remake of Demon’s Souls, was a critically and fan-acclaimed launch title for the console and has sold more than 1.4 million copies worldwide since its November 12, 2020 release.
Far Cry 6 soundtrack released
Ubisoft announced that the soundtrack for the game “Far Cry 6” is now available on all major music streaming and download platforms worldwide. The soundtrack comes from the pen of the award-winning composer Pedro Bromfman (Narcos, Robocop), who breathes life into the tropical paradise of “Far Cry 6” with each of the 21 songs. Yara is an island in the heart of the Caribbean that has stood still in time, whose soundscape was inspired by various musical styles and Latin American cultures. Players: inside will enjoy dynamic melodies that set the tone of the game and its various regions. The western region is filled with acoustic melodies, while the central region hosts a unique mix of urban music and hip-hop elements. Heavy industrial sounds can be heard in the eastern region.

Season 4 for “NBA 2K Mobile”
2K announced the start of Season 4 for “NBA 2K Mobile,” one of 2K’s premier mobile titles with 1.6 million active monthly players. Season 4 brings a new Courtside Pass to unlock exclusive rewards, updated player looks and jerseys, card values for the upcoming NBA season and much more. The players can build their NBA All Star team, advance their basketball career and put down slam dunks with console-level graphics – all while on the go. There are hundreds of new NBA basketball cards from current NBA players and legends like Damian Lillard, Kevin Durant and Luka Doncic as well as from all-time NBA all-stars like Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O’Neal and Michael Jordan. Also: A new NBA basketball player career mode where players can complete daily goals on their way to becoming professional basketball players in order to win rewards.
“Young Souls” from October at Steam Next Fest
Publisher The Arcade Crew and the development team at 1P2P Studio announced today that Young Souls – a cooperative “beat ’em up” RPG in which two twins fight their way through the underworld to save whoever means most to them – will participate in the Steam Next Fest starting October 1st. The title will be released exclusively for Stadia and will also reach Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam in the fourth quarter of 2021. Fans looking to get into the fray can join the twins October 1-7 and battle their way through the demo, which includes the game’s opening fights and sets the stage for a grand showdown as an incomprehensible horror looms. The demo will be available on the game’s Steam page.
Closed Beta von “The Cycle: Frontier” startet
After more than 12 months of development, the Berlin studio YAGER announces the start of the closed beta of the FPS shooter “The Cycle: Frontier” on September 30th, 2021! Due to the extensive gameplay changes, the survival shooter gains a lot of playful depth and now lets the strategic skill of the players decide whether to win or lose in the eternal cycle of “The Cycle: Frontier”. The unique tension between co-op and PvP is particularly appealing, in which players decide for themselves at any time how much risk they want to take. Every action and decision has massive consequences and requires full commitment: Do the recruits have the courage to start the next drop with expensive equipment and accept the loss of rare resources or do they go to the next mission with simpler equipment and take risks thereby in the end the failure? In the closed beta, everyone can register now and start playing tomorrow, September 30, 2021. The official release of “The Cycle: Frontier” is planned for the first half of 2022.

“Dying Light 2 Stay Human” für Switch
In order to survive in “Dying Light 2 Stay Human – Cloud Version”, an uncompromising open-world action role-playing game, you have to master both parkour and tactical battles. Either alone or in cooperative online mode with up to three friends, the players go exploring. During the day they reveal the dark secrets of the rulers, at night they plunder the hideouts of the infected. They have to choose which side they are on – and thus decide the fate of the city. “Dying Light 2 Stay Human – Cloud Version” hits Nintendo Switch on February 4th, 2022. A free demo version appears on the same day.
“Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars”
This captivating adventure from creative game creators Yoko Taro and Yosuke Saito is about to begin. The players have to prove themselves in events that are revealed to them through cards. This includes turn-based battles in which your skills – and a little luck – make the difference between victory and defeat. This new take on a tabletop RPG from Square Enix is coming to Nintendo Switch on October 28th. Anyone curious can download a free demo shortly after the presentation. The game can be pre-ordered now.
“Chocobo GP” also on Switch
In this new kind of racing experience, the players race against each other as well-known “Final Fantasy” characters such as Chocobo or Gilgamesh. They use their special skills and maginites to pass the competition. Options for customizing the engine are also available, as are local multiplayer races and exciting online competitions. In order to determine the racing champion, up to 64 players can compete against each other in a tournament. “Chocobo GP” starts exclusively on Nintendo Switch in 2022.

First gameplay scenes for “Bayonetta 3”
A new video showed game scenes from the stylish, action-packed sequel to the “Bayonetta” series for the first time. It revealed Bayonetta’s new look and new techniques, such as her ability to directly control demons. Bayonetta 3 will bewitch Nintendo Switch fans in 2022. More information about the game will be released at a later date, according to Nintendo.
Expansion for “Monster Hunter Rise”
Capcom is currently working on a gigantic expansion for “Monster Hunter Rise” for Nintendo Switch. Fans of the action adventure can look forward to a new storyline, new hunting areas and monsters, fresh hunting actions and a new quest rank. The release of “Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak” is planned for summer 2022. A first video for the upcoming expansion is already available:
“Splatoon 3” has been announced
