IOMKI is what has enabled the industry to remain productive amidst the pressures of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
“So all stakeholders provide space so that all industries continue to run hand in hand with health protocols. That is our productivity effort and this is also shown by industrial activities that increase its utility, ”said the Director General of Metal, Machinery, Transportation Equipment and Electronics at the Ministry of Industry, Taufik Bawazier in a written statement, Monday (14/9/2020).
Taufik added that the effort to penetrate the export market amidst the current pandemic is an achievement for the Indonesian manufacturing sector. This effort also shows a new business model that the industry continues to work despite the pressure of Covid-19.
“Be a model lecture what all industry can learn is that the industry is still operating and sticking to its health protocols and increasing utility. Even then, it can fill the domestic and export markets. It should be noted that this is a joint success effort, “he said.
Taufik explained that the industrial sector contributed 20 percent to the national economy. In total, the value of industrial service derivatives reaches 30 percent.
Meanwhile, with regard to efforts to maintain demand stability, one thing that must be considered is efforts to maintain public consumption.
“So people’s purchasing power must also be maintained, one of which is that the government also provides a lot of fiscal stimulus, cuts taxes, and provides discounts for industry. For the industry to keep working, a gas price discount is given, “he said.
