Track Connections and Stations Realized, Here’s the Latest Progress of the Jabodebek LRT Project

JAKARTA, – The overall progress of the construction of the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi (Jabodebek) Highway Integrated Crossroads (LRT) has reached 84.76 percent.

Of the three cross-services, the Cawang-Cibubur Service Cross I recorded the largest development, reaching 93.81 percent.

Meanwhile, the Cawang-Dukuh Atas Service Cross II and Cawang-East Bekasi Cross Service III accounted for 84.29 percent and 90.94 percent, respectively.

PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk Corporate Secretary Farid Budiyanto said this progress includes the realization of track connection work and physical construction of stations.

“Adhi Karya has also received payment for the progress that has been made of Rp. 13.3 trillion, including taxes,” said Farid, quoted from the disclosure of information. Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), Monday (07/06/2021).

In addition to the progress of physical work, facilities in the form of trains have now also been parked along the Lintas Service I route as many as 25 trainset.

Later, all these trains will have their own parking space located at the East Bekasi Depot.

Land acquisition for the Depo has now been completed with the construction progress of 44.18 percent.

According to Farid, the existence of a depot is important because it plays a role in the regular maintenance of facilities and heavy maintenance.

The Jabodebek LRT Depot will have a maintenance capacity of 7 trainset simultaneously.

The function of the Depot is to carry out maintenance of facilities such as: light maintenance dan heavy maintenance.

He revealed, significant progress was also seen in Operation Control Room (OCC Room) or the Jabodebek LRT train control room which will be fully automated.

This building is one of the most important components to ensure the overall control of the train on the entire track.

Until now, the construction progress of this building has reached 93 percent.

“The sooner the OCC Room is completed, the faster all trains will be able to be operationally tested,” Farid continued.

The Jabodebek LRT depot has an area of ​​up to 10 hectares with a capacity of stabling in a depot that can accommodate up to 20 trainset.

The depot construction which is currently under construction uses a payment scheme turnkey worth IDR 4.2 trillion.

This is what underlies Adhi Karya’s need for pre-financing for development work with a loan process from a syndicated bank.

“Looking at the progress that has been made, the Jabodebek LRT will certainly be a sustainable project and have various potentials in the future,” concluded Farid.
