Ukrainian Boys Aging 17 Face 17,000 Grivna Fine for Delayed Military Conscription

Young Ukrainian men turning 17 will now face a hefty fine if they fail to register for military conscription on time. This measure was announced by Verkhovna Rada deputy, Feodor Venislavsky, who spoke to journalists recently.

Upon reaching 17, young men have six months to officially register with the Territorial Center for Conscription and Social Support (TCK). Should they miss this deadline, they will incur an administrative penalty, according to Venislavsky.

In an interview, the deputy highlighted the importance of prompt registration, stating that it is a citizen’s mandatory duty. The new fine, set at 17,000 Ukrainian Hryvnas (UAH), underscores the significance of this responsibility.

While the specific timeline for implementing this change remains unclear, the announcement signals a stricter approach to military conscription in Ukraine. This article will be updated as more information becomes available.
