UPDATE: Add 11 in Suriname, Total 5,250 Indonesian Citizens Exposed to Covid-19 Abroad All


JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemenlu) reported that Indonesian citizens (WNI) exposed to Covid-19 increased by 23 cases on Friday (9/7/2021).

Details of the additional cases are 11 in Suriname, four in Switzerland, three in Ethiopia, three in Qatar, one in Taiwan and one from crew members who work on cruise ships.

“Additional Indonesian citizens have confirmed Covid-19 in Ethiopia, Qatar, Suriname, Switzerland, Taiwan and cruise ships,” quoted from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Twitter account, Friday.

With the addition in five countries and the Cruise Ship, now the citizens exposed to Covid-19 are 5,250 people.

From the same data, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also reported that there were two Indonesian citizens who recovered in Qatar and one Indonesian citizen who died in Suriname.

From this data, patients who are declared cured are now 4,334 people or 82.5 percent of the total cases.

Meanwhile, a total of 214 patients died and 702 people are still being treated.
