US trade regulators allow some applications for exemption from Apple tariffs

(Reuters) – Friday US trade regulators approved 10 out of 15 applications for tariff exemptions filed by Apple Inc..

Apple did not explain why it sought the exemptions, but the requests for components such as circuit boards were partially completed. Apple makes its Mac Pro computers in Texas and these intermediate parts were subject to tariffs.

Apple did not send immediate comments.
