In this regard, the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) disclosed that the second dose of Sputnik V could wait 180 days and will continue to be effective.

Who is waiting for the second dose?
The mayors of Benito Juarez, Miguel Hidalgo, Coyoacán, Azcapotzalco, Gustavo A. Madero and Tláhuac await the second dose of Sputnik v.
In these municipalities it is expected to reach a vaccination goal for 482,174 people between 30 and 39 years of age.
Because the first batch only carries 200,000 doses, the inoculation process for this age group is estimated to take at least two more weeks.
However, the Health Secretary of Mexico City confirmed that the shipment that arrived in Mexico City during the early hours of Monday, September 13, will be used in second doses.

The Gamaleya National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology has delivered 4.8 million doses to Mexico, according to health authorities.
In a statement, the government of Mexico City announced that from Tuesday 14 to Sunday 19 September (except Thursday 16), a total of 706,867 vaccines against Covid-19 will be applied.

What other vaccines will be given?
This week they will also receive the first dose of Pfizer adults from 18 to 29 residing in the Cuajimalpa mayor’s office.
Meanwhile, the application of the second dose of Sputnik V will begin in people between 18 and 29 years old from Benito Juárez, Miguel Hidalgo and Tláhuac.
In Cuajimalpa a target population of 48,693 adults between 18 to 29 years is estimated and in the other three municipalities of 176,000 people in this age range.
As in the first dose, the people of the mentioned municipalities will receive a text message with their vaccinating unit assigned, the day and time in which they will have to attend.
