MOSCOW, July 29 (Itar-Tass) – RIA Novosti . The use of veins increases the risk of developing oral cancer about as much as the smoking of conventional cigarettes, said scientists who spoke at the congress of the International Association of Dentists in the American Alexandria.
“Our analysis has shown that most people who use nicotine in any form other than tobacco receive about the same or even more carcinogens that can cause oral cancer, just like regular smokers, all of which threaten their health,” said Benjamin Chaffee (Benjamin Chaffee) from the University of California in San Francisco (USA).
In the past two years, thanks to the rapid growth in the popularity of electronic cigarettes among smokers, scientists have begun to be actively interested in whether such evaporators have the beneficial properties that their manufacturers attribute to them and how less harmful they are to their health than conventional cigarettes.
These studies led to contradictory results – in general, tobacco smoke remains more dangerous to the health of the lungs and the entire human body, but the evaporation of electronic cigarettes, scientists learned, contain many carcinogens and toxins produced by “burning” part of the evaporated liquid on a spiral incandescent.
Relatively recently, American doctors discovered experimenting in mice that smoking vamps can make the walls of arteries and veins more fragile and lead to the development of serious problems with the heart, and also found that nicotine vaporizers do not turn away but attract people to real cigarettes, that their manufacturers declare.
Chaffey and his colleagues discovered another negative feature of the wakes, studying how many carcinogenic derivatives of nicotine are found in the blood and products of life of fans of ordinary cigarettes and similar evaporators.
In total, scientists collected urine and blood samples from about one and a half thousand people who continued or had already quit smoking, analyzed and compared them.
As scientists expected, most carcinogens associated with the development of lung, esophageal and oral cancer were contained in samples of biomaterials of ordinary smokers. On the other hand, the lovers of the wapers did not lag far behind them.
For example, they contained almost as much nitrosonornicotin, a carcinogen associated with esophageal and oral cancer. Concentrations of other nicotine derivatives were on average slightly lower than those of normal smokers.
All this was typical only for those few people who used exclusively wakes and avoided tobacco. Most evaporator users, as Chaffee points out, smoked them along with their regular cigarettes, which resulted in the same or even higher proportions of carcinogens in their blood and urine than in classical smokers.
Similar results of measurements, according to doctors, suggest that wakes do not protect smokers from cancer, as advertising slogans often say, but on the contrary – contribute to its development.
