Stress is originally meant to make you react sharply and alertly in emergency situations. A very normal reaction. Of course, a new bag cannot solve your stress. But the chance that you are very strict with yourself during a stressful period is quite high. Being a little bit happier can help you. Just like doing or buying something that makes you happy. A new bag is one such example. By treating yourself to that beautiful handbag you saw, you give yourself a little moment of happiness every time you grab that bag. That moment of happiness helps you to think about something else and to let go. And that is very good for your stress level.
“Yes” to sex
In contrast to the bag, sex directly helps you lower your stress. Sex is very healthy for you. Especially through an orgasm in which hormones such as endorphins, oxytocin and dopamine are released. Endorphins give you a feeling of happiness, but it also reduces stress. Do you not have a partner or do you not like having sex every night? No worries. Research has shown that self-sex is just as effective, if not more effective. The latter is because you do not have to think about what your partner wants.
