Who is the owner of SIRCLO who recently fired their employees?

Jakarta

Termination Storm (termination) that hit startups and tech companies in Indonesia seems to continue. This time it’s my turn CIRCLE involved in the dismissal of a number of employees.

Based on the statement received detikcom, last Tuesday (22/11), SIRCLO Group fired 8% of its employees. This termination phase will be effective November 22, 2022.

This step was taken to maintain long-term business continuity amid the threat of economic challenges that may occur in the future.

Meanwhile, according to the company’s official website, SIRCLO was founded in 2013 by Brian Marshal. He is one of McKinsey’s Young Leaders for Indonesia and a medalist in the International Informatics Olympiad.

It is known that Brian graduated from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore majoring in Computer Science. After starting his career at PwC Singapore, he then decided to settle down CIRCLE in 2013.

Brian founded SIRCLO with a vision to become the biggest e-commerce enabler for local businesses in Indonesia. SIRCLO’s first solution is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) called SIRCLO Store.

SIRCLO Store provides online store website development services based on ready-to-use templates. This SaaS provides a solution for brands to have an official brand.com site that facilitates online transactions for their customers.

Along with the growing need to sell on multiple online channels at once, SIRCLO Store can now manage brand sales on the Marketplace (formerly SIRCLO Connexi) and WhatsApp Business API (formerly SIRCLO Chat) through a unified management board.

From year to year, various SIRCLO solutions are created to help companies achieve their goal of becoming the most comprehensive omnichannel commerce enabler in Indonesia to help brands reach a wider market through various digital sales channels.

Now CIRCLE has more than 2,000 employees, HQ with an area of 1,000 m2 in Tangerang, and representative offices, fulfillment centers and warehouses spread in 15 points in Indonesia.
