Janusz Szostak’s biography will be released in December. The widow reveals the details

In an interview with the newspaper, the woman revealed some details related to the publication. – I came up with the idea of writing a biography of Janusz three months after his death. I wanted to do it to honor his memory. Many people associate my husband only with the case of Iwona Wieczorek, and yet he was an orchestra man, not only an investigative journalist, but also a social worker who was involved in many activities from an early age – she confessed.

The woman also admittedthat her husband’s biggest dream was to start a local newspaper.

Janusz worked for many national newspapers, and in 2002 he founded “Express Sochaczewski”. He dealt mainly with crime topics. As one of the few journalists, he met the famous Kalibabka. I was with him at that meeting. We made an appointment with him at the hotel in Dziwnów. It was after he was released from prison.

She added that a journalist “he had an idea to write a biography of Kalibabka, but unfortunately he did not have time.”

“The case of Iwona Wieczorek greatly influenced his life”

The conversation also touched on the issue of the investigation into the disappearance of Iwona Wieczorek. – Iwona’s case greatly affected his life. It even became his obsession, because he wanted so much that people associated with the disappearance of this girl would be punished, and she herself would be given a proper burial – she emphasized.

I am convinced that after years of silence, this matter has become media again thanks to Janusz and his books. I also know that she contributed greatly to my husband’s death. He was attacked online, ridiculed, harassed and intimidated. It seems to me that a stone fell from the hearts of many people that Janusz is no longer there and does not deal with Iwona’s case. I believe that COVID was not the main cause of his death, but stress and fatigue, confessed the journalist’s widow.

She also said that the man often “entered into discussions with Internet users who mocked his findings in the case of Iwona Wieczorek”.

After my husband died, I read the messages on his phone. They were offensive, perfidious. Then I started getting the same messages. I had to block my social media accounts. There were many fake people circulating around our foundation, spreading messages for interested people. Janusz guessed it – says Aldona Błaszczyk-Szostak.

Aldona Błaszczyk-Szostak revealed that “the case of Iwona Wieczorek will be a fairly extensive thread in the biography of her late husband, but not the only one.” As reported by “Fact”, other criminal cases dealt with by Janusz Szostak will also be described, as well as the backstage of his death.
