Wimbledon: Benedict Pair swept by Bautista Agut

It took an hour and fifty-two minutes for Spain's Roberto Bautista Agut to defeat Benoît Paire, 30, and reach the quarter-finals of the London Internationals.

Despite a convincing first week at Wimbledon, the Frenchman has failed and will not see the quarterfinals of the tournament. He logically fell in three sets (6-3, 7-5, 6-2).

In the image of an expeditious last set that lasted only 27 minutes, Pair, undermined by his faults (42 in total) has never seemed able to worry his opponent of the day. He misses the opportunity to discover the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam for the first time in his career.

Ugo Humbert, 21, is now the last tricolor still present in the competition, male and female tables combined. He will have to face the world No. 1, the Serb Novak Djokovic he faces on Monday at 17 hours.
