This year’s Women’s World Cup was held in two countries namely Australia and New Zealand. This tournament has been held since July 20 yesterday.
32 teams from six confederations participated. Now this big tournament every four years is coming to an end.
This tournament has just finished its last two matches in the semifinals. The four teams fighting for tickets to the final are Spain, Sweden, Australia and England.

Spain beat Sweden
In the first semifinal on Tuesday (15/08/2023), there was a duel between Spain and Sweden. This battle was hard fought and ended dramatically.
In the first 45 minutes, no goals are created. In the second half, neither team scored a goal until the 80th minute.
Spain was finally able to score first in the 81st minute through Salma Paralluelo. Then Sweden equalized the score in the 88th minute thanks to Rebecka Maria Blomqvist.
But Spain quickly scored again in the 89th minute through Olga Carmona. Sweden finally narrowly lost 2-1.

In the second semifinal on Wednesday (16/08/2023), there was a duel between the hosts Australia and England. This duel took place interesting and exciting.
England pressed first. Then they could score in Ella Toone.
Australia then scored a goal back through Sam Kerr. But England were able to turn the lead again through Lauren Hemp’s goal.
Australia tried to push back but conceded again through Alessia Russo. The host was tackled with a score of 1-3 by England.
