The fire broke out around 8 pm, probably inside the workshops adjacent to the one-storey family house on Masarykova třída. The flames managed to destroy all the equipment inside and damage the facade above the entrance door to the apartments on the first floor above the workshops.
The firefighters were hit by heavy smoke, so they had to use breathing techniques. A large amount of assembly foam for windows was stored inside the workshop. Fortunately, the incident went unharmed. Due to the larger number of firefighting equipment, the police had to close Masaryk Street on both sides during the intervention.
Preliminary damage was estimated at two million crowns. Firefighters do not yet know the exact cause of the fire and is the subject of further investigation.
