Of these, 31,123,438 people have been declared to have recovered from this SARS-CoV-2 virus infection.
Meanwhile, Covid-19 has killed 1,141,500 people globally.
Here are five countries that report the most cases of infection:
1. United States
The United States is the country with the most cases of corona virus infection in the world.
Recorded, positive confirmed cases of the corona virus in this country reached 8,651,886 cases, with 66,536 new cases daily.
The highest number of deaths globally also occurred in the US, as many as 228,270 people from the total number of reported cases died due to exposure to the virus.
Meanwhile, the country with a population of 331,266,944 people recorded 5,646,410 positive cases of Covid-19 who have recovered.
Following in second place, positive cases of Covid-19 in India continued to creep up, there were 54,482 new cases in the last 24 hours.
Currently, this country with a population of 1,381,826,521 people has recorded as many as 7,759,640 cases of infection, with 6,946,325 people who have been declared cured.
So far, India has recorded 117,336 deaths.
Brazil is in the third position of the country with the most cases of corona virus infection in the world.
Positive confirmed cases were reported in Brazil as many as 5,332,634 cases, of which 4,756,489 have recovered.
This country with a population of 212,764,278 people has reported 155,900 deaths due to corona virus infection.
In fourth place, Russia reported 1,463,306 positive cases of the corona virus, with the addition of 15,971 new cases daily.
Of the total cases confirmed positive for the virus, 1,107,988 people have been declared cured.
Meanwhile, the country with a population of 145,943,139 people reported that 25,242 people died as a result of being infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
The number of infections in Spain has also continued to rise, with the country with the fifth most cases worldwide reporting 1,090,521 cases of infection in its territory.
Over the past 24 hours, Spain has recorded 20,986 new cases.
This Covid-19 infection has killed 34,521 people in the country.
Daily cases in Europe are high
Launch Reuters, Friday (23/10/2020), cases of the corona virus reported in Europe have more than doubled in the last 10 days.
On Thursday (22/10/2020) European time, daily new cases were reported for the first time passing 200,000 infections, previously Europe reported 100,000 daily cases on October 12, 2020.
According to calculations Reuters, many Southern European countries reported their highest daily cases this week.
So far, there have been 7.8 million total cases of viral infection and around 247,000 deaths.
Countries in Europe such as Italy, Austria, Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia reported the highest daily cases of coronavirus on Thursday, 22 October 2020.
Europe is a region that reports more daily new cases than India, Brazil and the United States combined.
One of the improvements was due to much more testing than was done on the first wave of pandemics.
Europe accounts for nearly 19 percent of global infection cases and about 22 percent of all deaths worldwide.
In Western Europe, France, which averaged seven days of new cases with 25,480 infections per day, first reported the highest daily case with 41,622 cases of Covid-19 infection on Thursday, 22 October 2020.
Meanwhile, to curb the spread of the infection, French Prime Minister Jean Castex announced the widening of the curfew due to the coronavirus to more than two-thirds of the population.
In the Netherlands, according to data from the National Institute for Public Health (RIVM), there are more than 9,000 new cases daily, which is a new record.
Germany, which reports more than 10,000 new cases daily, extended travel warnings to Switzerland, Ireland, Poland, large parts of Austria and Italy including Rome.
Hospitals across Europe remain under pressure, although figures remain well below the peak levels of the crisis six months ago.
A World Health Organization (WHO) expert said Europe and the US must follow countries in Asia by surviving antiviral measures and quarantining anyone who comes in contact with infected people.
