The Alpine Ski World Cup has a Corona case to complain about at the opening weekend in Sölden.

Ola Masdal, coach in the Swedish men’s team, tested positive. In Sölden the traditional “opening” takes place with a giant slalom for women (Saturday) and men (Sunday).

According to the Swedish association, Masdal is in quarantine on site. Another trainer who was sitting in the car with Masdal was also tested. The result was negative for him. “We are prepared for such a situation,” said Alpine boss Lars Melin.
