The 2020 WWE Survivor Series is history! The Undertaker said goodbye after 30 years, and Raw and Smackdown competed against each other.
The Thanksgiving tradition in the WWE continued through the corona crisis. At the Survivor Series it was again Raw against Smackdown with the highlight between the champions Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre. But everything towered above the Undertaker’s “Final Farewell”.
+++ ATTENTION! The following article contains massive spoilers! So if you still want to watch the Survivor Series, you shouldn’t read any more from here! +++
It all started with the traditional men’s 5-on-5 elimination match! Raw beat Smackdown 5-0! AJ Styles, Braun Strowman, Sheamus, Keith Lee and Matt Riddle sent Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, King Corbin, Jey Uso and Otis home.
The Street Profits took their first win for Smackdown, beating the New Day. US Champion Bobby Lashley won for Raw against Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn.
With the ladies, Sasha Banks was able to bring Asuka down. In the women’s elimination match, Lana remained the only “survivor” for Raw.
Then it was time for the main event: Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre fought an uphill battle. Actually, a Claymore would have hit hard, but the referee also knocked out – so Jey Uso intervened and helped his cousin Roman win.
At the end there was the big final for the Undertaker. Numerous legends such as Shane McMahon, JBL, Big Show, Mick Foley, the Godfather, Rikishi, Kevin Nash, Booker T, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, Triple H and Kane applauded the Deadman for the last appearance.
Then the gong sounded for the last time: “It is time for Undertaker to finally rest in peace” – were the last words, then the WWE icon resigned after exactly 30 years in the ring. Not only did we shed one or two tears, but also WWE boss Vince McMahon.
