Xiaomi launches the Android 10 update for Mi CC9 in India

The Mi CC9 or Mi 9 Lite as it is known outside of China, launched last year as the first of a new series from Xiaomi in collaboration with Meitu. If you remember, Meitu was a camera-focused brand that attracted some fans to China. It is now part of the large conglomerate of Xiaomi and the Chinese giant is honoring Meitu’s legacy.

When Xiaomi released the Mi CC9 it arrived with Android 9 Pie immediately ready for use. Now Xiaomi is finally launching a new MIUI 11 update that introduces Android 10 on the smartphone. Unfortunately, the update is still limited to China and includes the February 2020 security patch. This means that users outside of China, with Mi 9 Lite, will have to wait a little longer for this update.

The update brings MIUI V11.0.1.0.QFCCNXM serial and weighs 2.3 GB. The update also includes some improvements and bug fixes. The Mi CC9 is still a solid contender in the mid-range segment with a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with 32 MP selfies and a drop-shaped notch. Under the hood, the device carries a Snapdragon 710 SoC with up to 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of expandable memory.

On the back, there is a 48 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultrawide camera and a 2 MP depth sensor. The laptop has a UD fingerprint, an infrared blaster on the top and a USB Type-C port on the bottom. The Mi CC9 also includes NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, an audio jack and FM radio. The smartphone is powered by a 4,030 mAh battery with support for fast charging from 18 W.
