Yellen says the US economy is “very resilient” and is facing a recession

U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said Friday that the U.S. economy has proven to be “extremely flexible” in the face of a series of shocks, and that it does not expect it to enter a recession.

“I don’t expect a recession,” Yellen told CNBC.

He added that inflation could peak in the United States, but warned that prices could remain high “for much longer”.
