Police in Osorno have arrested four individuals linked to a faction of the Tren de Aragua criminal organization following a series of raids on local camps. Authorities seized over a kilogram of a substance identified as “Chilean fentanyl”—a wax-like drug—along with cocaine, marijuana, a firearm, and ammunition during the operation.
Arrests in Rahue Alto and Ovejería
The PDI Antinarcotics Brigade executed search warrants at the Folilche camp in Rahue Alto and the Ferroviario camp in Ovejería, identifying these locations as hubs for drug storage and sales. The Fiscalía Local de Osorno confirmed the detention of two Venezuelan men and two Chilean women, all of whom now face charges including drug trafficking, illegal possession of firearms, and criminal association. The procedure, designated as Operación Mutantes
, involved the search of four properties linked to the faction known as Los Mutantes or Hermanos Cartier. The four suspects detained include two Venezuelan citizens aged 23 and 26, and two Chilean women aged 28 and 30. During these raids, authorities also seized 88.46 grams of cocaine hydrochloride, more than 48 grams of cannabis, a 9-millimeter Bersa pistol, a magazine, and 13 cartridges, with the total evaluation of the seized substances estimated to surpass 17 million pesos. The investigation applies procedural tools and special frameworks under Ley 20.000.
Did You Know? One of the Venezuelan men detained in this operation had been expelled from Chile in 2024 following a conviction for robbery with violence. Despite a 10-year ban on re-entry, he returned to the country illegally before his current arrest, while the second foreign suspect maintained an irregular migratory status.

Status of the Hospitalized Minor
During the raid at the camps, officers discovered that a six-year-old girl, the daughter of one of the female suspects, was suffering from acute intoxication caused by cocaine. The child was transported to a medical facility for urgent treatment.
De Miguel confirmed that the minor was present alongside her mother when the police procedure unfolded and required medical assistance. The Family Court has since intervened, ordering that the minor be transferred to a protection residence in Osorno once she is discharged from the hospital.
Court orders preventive detention during 150-day investigation window
A local court has ordered the four suspects to remain in preventive detention while the investigation proceeds. The tribunal established a 150-day window for the prosecution to gather evidence, which includes technical analysis of seized mobile phones to trace the organization’s operational links.
