A 95-year-old Long Island man is seeking the public’s help in locating his wedding ring, lost after nearly 70 years of marriage. Norm Goldsobel, a retired mechanical engineer, turned to the Nextdoor app in February after discovering the ring was missing.
A Lifetime of Commitment
Norm and Roz Goldsobel were married in the Bronx in June 1956. Norm Goldsobel stated he had only removed the ring once in the intervening decades, for repairs. He noticed the ring was missing on February 19th while washing his hands with his wife.
The missing ring is described as a size 8, 6mm wide, with 12 equally spaced notches. Goldsobel believes he may have lost the ring while shopping at a Stop & Shop supermarket in Northport, but the exact location of the loss remains unknown.
