Breaking: La Banda Launches Dengue Vaccination Campaign for Residents Aged 15-39

The municipality of La Banda has kicked off its Dengue Vaccination Campaign, offering the vaccine to residents aged 15 to 39, excluding pregnant women, lactating mothers, and individuals with immune system disorders. The campaign aims to prevent dengue fever, a significant health concern in the region.

The vaccination drive is being carried out through the municipality’s Centers of Medical Attention (CAMM), with strategic points set up across the city. Residents can receive the vaccine at the following CAMM locations: Ampliación Primero de Mayo, San Fernando, El Rincón, and 25 de Mayo.

Julio César Scabuzzo, the Secretary of Health, expressed his enthusiasm about the new public health initiative, stating, "We’re concluding the year with a new policy that prioritizes the health of our community."

The campaign began with the distribution of 40 doses at each of the four designated CAMM centers. Once these initial doses are administered, more vaccines will be supplied to ensure continuous availability. To be eligible for the vaccine, residents must be between 15 and 39 years old, reside in La Banda, and present a valid ID. Pregnant women, lactating mothers, and individuals with immune system deficiencies are exempt from receiving the vaccine.
