Breaking News: Police hunt for 30-something man after prison escape
Police in Møre og Romsdal are on the lookout for a man believed to be in his late 30s who escaped from prison earlier today. The incident occurred at 06:15 AM, and multiple resources have been deployed for the search operation, as per the police log.
Operation leader Sindre Molnes of the Møre og Romsdal police district told Dagbladet that several patrol units are actively searching for the man, and investigators are working on leads to determine his possible whereabouts.
"Do we have anything to go on?" we asked.
Molnes replied, "I won’t delve into specifics about any leads we might have at this stage."
The escapee was last seen outside the prison walls, dressed in a black jacket and red pants. He had been incarcerated for fraud-related offenses.
The police currently do not consider the man a threat to the public.
Molnes declined to discuss the exact method of the escape, but assured that no violence or threats were involved. He added, "It’s too early to say if he had help, but it’s something we’re looking into."
Police urge anyone who spots the man to contact them immediately at 02800.
