Deep Dive into Glass: Un expected Encounter with Police During Urgent Mission

Local Glass Installer Caught Drunk on Duty, Loses License on Christmas Eve

A helpful glass installer in Roosendaal learned the hard way that holidays aren’t an excuse for irresponsible behavior. This Christmas Eve, he was called to replace a broken window after a burglary, only to fail a breathalyzer test and lose his driver’s license.

Roosendaal police received a call on Christmas Eve regarding a break-in. Neighbors who kept an eye on the house had spotted the damage and alerted the authorities. Upon arrival, officers found a shattered window and summoned a glass installer to make repairs.

Little did the installer know, his dinner had raised some eyebrows. "We suspected this glass installer had enjoyed a bit too much of his Christmas dinner," the police wrote on Instagram. "His eyes told us he’d had a few too many." A breathalyzer confirmed their suspicions.

The installer was over the legal limit, having consumed more than three times the allowed amount for driving. He was forced to hand in his driver’s license and call in a replacement to finish the job. Despite the joyous season, this installer’s actions had sobering consequences.
