A Venezuelan mother of three, 31-year-old Jackmerly Jouselis Hernández Rodríguez, was tragically shot and killed inside her Norcross home this past weekend. She had been living in the United States for less than a year.
Gwinnett County Police released details about the incident on Monday, December 23, revealing that the victim and the suspect, her ex-husband, lived together in the residence and were in the process of a divorce. The case is currently being investigated as a domestic dispute.

The suspect, identified as 35-year-old Víctor José Yaraure Morillo, was taken into custody and charges are pending. The victim’s family, who resides in Venezuela, was notified of the tragic news through a voicemail sent by the suspect’s family.
