Firefighters Quickly Extinguish Tank Station Bus Blaze
A delivery bus parked at a tank station along the Zonnelaan caught fire on Tuesday evening, with the local fire department swiftly responding to the incident. The blaze was reported around 5:30 PM, prompting firefighters to dispatch a blaze-fighting vehicle and a foam truck to the scene.
Upon arrival, firefighters swiftly brought the fire under control, preventing it from spreading to other vehicles or the station itself. The cause of the fire is believed to have been an issue with the bus’s generator while it was being refueled.
The Zonnelaan was temporarily closed to traffic during the incident but has since been reopened. No injuries were reported, and the fire did not result in any significant disruption to traffic or fuel supply.
