Latvia Leads Drone Coalition, Commits €20 Million for Ukraine‘s Support in 2025
In a recent development, the Latvian Minister has clarified the diverse applications of combat drones, stressing the ongoing support provided to Ukraine in collaboration with Latvian drone manufacturers. The minister underscored that Latvia, alongside the UK, is spearheading a drone coalition, with plans to allocate €20 million for drone acquisitions within the coalition’s framework by 2025.
The drone coalition, initiated to back Ukraine’s cause, comprises an impressive range of nations including Australia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Estonia, Italy, New Zealand, Canada, Lithuania, the Netherlands, and many others. As of August 2022, the coalition’s participating countries have collectively mustered over half a billion euros for drone deliveries to Ukraine.
