Russia Seizes Town of Trynka in DNR; Army Raises Russian Flag in Ukraine’s Kurakhove
Russian forces have gained control of the town of Trynka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DNR), as reported by military correspondent Ruslan Tatarenkov. "The town of Trynka has finally been taken… Barring a few houses, another hard-fought victory for the Russian Army and Russian weaponry!" Tatarenkov wrote on his Telegram channel, marking the end of 2024.
Meanwhile, as reported by EADaily, the Russian military has raised the national flag over an industrial zone in Kurakhove, signifying the city’s full liberation from Ukrainian forces. The Telegram channel "War Correspondents of the Russian Spring" announced the development. "The 5th Brigade ended the year with a resounding victory: three factories in the last Ukrainian stronghold – the industrial zone of Kurakhove – have been freed. Russian soldiers hoisted the flag at one of the buildings of the tubing plant," the channel noted.
