In a dramatic turn of events, German police fatally shot a man who had gone on a destructive rampage with a stolen bobcat, injuring three officers in the process. The incident, described as a “presumed case of outrage” by police, took place in the southwest German province of Baden-Württemberg.

The 38-year-old German national had earlier stolen the bobcat from a construction company in Grünsfeld, south of Frankfurt. He then proceeded to devastate the entire inventory at the site. In a bizarre series of events, the man then drove the heavy-duty vehicle to a nearby town, damaging several police cars and other vehicles along the way.

One police officer was hospitalized following the incident but was later discharged. The suspect was ultimately stopped by police using lethal force in his commandeered vehicle. The incident is currently under investigation.
