Motorcyclist Dies in New Year’s Day Crash Near Casilda and Carcarañá
A motorcyclist lost his life on Wednesday, January 1, after losing control of his vehicle and crashing into a route connecting the towns of Casilda and Carcarañá. The 43-year-old victim succumbed to severe head injuries, it is presumed he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
The tragic incident occurred around 6 am, with emergency services from the local Sies unit and the Regional IV Police Department in Casilda responding swiftly to the scene on the S26 route, near the Rosario-Córdoba highway exit.
Accompanying the rider was a teenager, a friend of his daughter, who fortunately sustained only minor injuries in the crash. The rider’s Kawasaki 750 motorcycle was seized as evidence to reconstruct the accident.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the accident. Early reports suggest that the motorcyclist may have lost control while negotiating the first curve leaving Casilda.
