Police Conduct Large-Scale Raid in Velsen-Noord over Ex-Relationship Dispute Involving Alleged Firearm
Velsen, Netherlands – Law enforcement staged a significant operation Saturday evening, searching a residence at Stratingplantsoen in Velsen-Noord following a conflict within an ex-romantic relationship. The Cathnews.nl reported the incident.
An individual involved in the altercation had supposedly claimed to be carrying a firearm, prompting a thorough search of the property. The raid was conducted with the assistance of police dogs and officers clad in bulletproof vests. However, the suspect alleged to have the firearm was not found at the scene.
A second suspect, accused of damaging a window in the incident, was promptly arrested and detained. A police spokesperson confirmed the search for the armed suspect continues. "It is certain this individual is no longer at the residence," the spokesperson stated, "The situation there is now secure."
