Headline: Full Standstill in Bergen Airport Flights Due to Adverse Weather

All flights to and from Bergen Airport (Flesland) have come to a complete halt due to inclement weather, Norwegian News Agency (NTB) reports in collaboration with VG. As of Sunday, 5th January, at 16:50, no aircraft is able to take off or land at the airport.
The traffic disruption is a consequence of poor runway conditions, with Bergen’s heavy snowfall in the past 24 hours being a significant contributing factor. Bergen Tidende reports that, in addition to grounded flights, those in flight are also being redirected to avoid landing at Bergen Airport.
Avinor, which manages Norway’s public airports, has updated its website to reflect the changes. Flights scheduled for Sunday evening and afternoon have been rescheduled, and many incoming flights are currently delayed.
The snowstorm has not only impacted air travel but also local public transportation. The city’s Bybane trams have been temporarily suspended due to the weather conditions.
