ZAPORIZHZHIA, Ukraine – In a tragic turn of events, a missile strike has rocked the city of Zaporizhzhia, leaving 13 people dead and 32 injured, according to Ukraine’s Emergency Service. An 13-year-old girl is among the injured, currently receiving treatment in a hospital in a serious condition.

Rescue operations are underway, with seven medical teams, police, and emergency services working tirelessly at the scene. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned the attack, asserting that it was a deliberate strike on the city.

The strike took place on January 8, at approximately 3:40 PM local time, when Russian forces launched two guided aviation bombs (FAB-500 with UMPC) towards Zaporizhzhia, confirmed by the Zaporižžja regional police. The fatalities and injuries occurred as a result of this attack.
