Pekanbaru Taxi Driver Demands KTP from Passenger‘s Relative

Donning his professional attire and armed with his driver’s license and vehicle documents, he arrived at the designated location.
The challenge, however, wasn’t the navigation or the passenger’s destination. Instead, it was the identity of the person who appeared and claimed to be the one hiring the taxi. The individual, a relative of the actual passenger, didn’t have an identification card (KTP).
"I can’t complete the order without a valid KTP from the person hiring the taxi," explained the driver, adhering to regulations that require passengers, or their representatives, to provide identification.
