The San Antonio City Council confirmed the nomination of Dr. Erika Gonzalez to the CPS Energy Board of Trustees on January 15, 2026. Dr. Gonzalez is set to begin her five-year term on February 1, 2026, following approval from the CPS Energy Board of Trustees representing Northeast Quadrant (2).

Dr. Gonzalez currently serves as the CEO and Medical Director for South Texas Allergy & Asthma Medical Professionals. She received her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and a Bachelor of Science from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio.
