Ann Carey, formerly of Claughaun Avenue, Garryowen, and residing at Clarina Avenue, Ballinacurra Weston, Limerick, passed away peacefully on January 22nd, 2026, at St. John’s Hospital, surrounded by family.

A Life Remembered

She is deeply mourned by her husband, Robert, and her children, David, Jeff, and Jackie. Ann’s family also includes adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as daughters-in-law Janet and Sandra, son-in-law Chris, and siblings Marie, Breda, Ber, and Joyce, and brother Jim.

Ann was predeceased by her parents, Sean and Christine, and by sisters Rita and Frances, and brother Tony.

Reposing will take place at Cross’s Funeral Home, Lower Gerald Griffin Street, on Monday, January 26th, from 10.30am to 11.30am. Following this, her remains will be removed to St. John’s Cathedral, Cathedral Place, for Requiem Mass at 12pm. The funeral will then proceed to Mount St. Oliver Cemetery.
