Connie C. Phoenix, age 62, of Allison Park, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly on February 2nd, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Giovanna M. Grosso, and the beloved wife of Claude S. Phoenix.
A Life Marked by Family and Service
Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, to parents who originated in Italy, Connie immigrated to the United States with her family at the age of 16. She graduated from Mt. Lebanon High School in 1980 and earned a degree from Duquesne University in 1984. It was at Duquesne, in an advanced inorganic chemistry class, that she met her future husband, Claude, whom she married in 1985.
Throughout her life, Connie worked in the dental and healthcare fields. She dedicated herself to her family, raising her daughters, Ashley Ridilla (Bryan) and Lauren Desvignes (Christopher), and serving as the primary caretaker for her mother, Giovanna. Friends and family remember Connie as a consistently caring and supportive presence.
A Legacy of Giving
Connie was known for her generosity and willingness to help others. This commitment to service continued even after her passing, as she made the decision to donate her organs to help others survive. A new grandchild was expected to join her family, adding to her legacy of love.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:30 PM at St. Ursula Church, 3937 Kirk Avenue, Allison Park, PA 15101.
