Penn Gymnastics Hosts Towson & West Chester – Healthcare Hero & Alumnae Day

The University of Pennsylvania gymnastics team will conclude its homestand on Sunday, February 6th, hosting Towson and West Chester on Healthcare Hero and Alumnae Day at The Palestra. Competition is scheduled to initiate at 7 p.m.

Penn recently achieved a program-best total team score of 196.000, ranking sixth all-time and first for a home meet. The team also secured its second-best beam score ever with a 49.375, also a home meet best. Sophomore Mani Fofana contributed to the historic performance with a 9.925 on the beam, the second-highest individual score in program history.

Fofana was recognized for her performance, earning Gymnastics East Conference Gymnast of the Week honors for the second consecutive week and will attempt to earn the honor for a third week.

Junior Jordan Barrow has been a consistent performer for the Quakers, securing seven first-place finishes through five meets. Junior Luci Toczydlowski has also demonstrated strength, finishing first or second in all five meets on the bars rotation. Last week, the team achieved season-high scores on vault (48.925), beam (49.375), and floor (49.075).
