Tucson, Arizona – Law enforcement investigating the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, mother of “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie, secured a road near Guthrie’s Arizona home late Friday night. A procession of sheriff and FBI vehicles, including forensic vans, passed through the roadblock located approximately 2 miles from the residence.

Authorities also marked and towed a Range Rover SUV from the parking lot of a Culver’s restaurant, just over 2 miles from Nancy Guthrie’s home. This action occurred as the Pima County Sheriff’s Department closed a road just north of the Guthrie property.

A traffic stop was also conducted and while one individual was questioned, no arrests were made, according to the sheriff’s department.

Abduction Investigation Continues

Nancy Guthrie, 84, was reported missing on February 1st. Authorities have stated that her blood was found under the porch of her Tucson-area home. Purported ransom notes were sent to media outlets, but both payment deadlines have passed.

Authorities have expressed concern for Guthrie’s health, as she requires daily treatment. She reportedly has a pacemaker and suffers from hypertension and heart problems, according to a police recording shared on broadcastify.com.

Investigators have reviewed surveillance videos, sifted through thousands of leads, and submitted DNA and other evidence for laboratory analysis.

The FBI stated it has collected over 13,000 pieces of information since February 1st, the day Guthrie’s disappearance was reported. The sheriff’s department has received at least 18,000 calls.

On Tuesday, authorities released images showing an armed, masked individual at Guthrie’s door the night she was abducted. The videos, totaling less than a minute, provided investigators and the public with their first glimpse of the person who was at the home.

Experts believe the video may contain a multitude of clues.
