The Sound And Fury festival, dedicated to hardcore music and related genres, will return to LA’s Exposition Park August 15-16. A significant portion of the lineup has been announced, with the reunions of Rival Mob and Carry On as key highlights.
Reunited Bands
Rival Mob, a Boston band known for their energetic live shows, last performed in 2016. They released one album, Mob Justice, in 2013, alongside several demos and EPs. Carry On, a metallic hardcore band from Los Angeles, released their only album, A Life Less Plagued, in 2001 before disbanding in 2005.
Following the breakup of Carry On, Todd Jones went on to perform with Nails, and Ryan George joined Youth Code.
Diverse Lineup
Beyond the reunions, the festival will feature artists spanning multiple genres, including death metal (Obituary), emo (Saves The Day, Oakwood), and metallic hardcore (Merauder). A wide range of currently active hardcore bands are also scheduled to perform, including Angel Du$t, Incendiary, Warthog, and XWeaponX.
The lineup also includes artists representing screamo (Holder, Knumears, Train Breaks Down), oi (Home Front, Beton Armé), and dance-pop (Nuovo Testamento, Sextile). The full lineup is expected to be revealed in April.
