A leading news organization is currently seeking an Executive Producer to lead its Eyewitness News Mornings programming. The role, based in Glendale, California, requires a seasoned professional to oversee content broadcast Monday through Friday during overnight and early morning hours.
Responsibilities
The Executive Producer will be responsible for leading live breaking news and event coverage and will be expected to step into the producer role when needed. Supervising linear and digital producers, writers, and reporters – including script review and feedback – is a key component of the position. The role too involves collaborating with the Morning News Senior Producer and Weekend Morning Executive Producer to develop and implement coverage strategies.
Additional responsibilities include proactively planning morning coverage with the assignment desk, managing staffing, and fostering a collaborative perform environment. The Executive Producer will also be expected to encourage creative production techniques to enhance content.
The position is considered on-site, requiring the employee to work from a company-designated location on an ongoing basis.

Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to work effectively under deadline pressure. Flexibility and adaptability are also essential. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of Dalet and management experience in a top 20 market.
Compensation
The hiring range for this position is $139,200 to $186,600 per year. The final salary will be determined based on factors including internal equity, geographic location, and the candidate’s experience and skills. A bonus or long-term incentive units may also be included, along with a full range of benefits.
