Video footage circulating on Facebook shows a rodent nibbling on food from a diner’s plate in Singapore, before a worker quickly caught the animal.
The 16-second video was shared by Facebook user Sheryle O. Oro on February 19 and is believed to have been filmed at the basement food court in Lucky Plaza.
The exact time the video was recorded remains unclear.
Man’s Reaction and Worker’s Response
At the beginning of the video, a diner can be seen moving away from the table after spotting the rodent, kicking a bag off a chair in the process. This action drew the attention of another diner at a nearby table.
Shortly after, a worker approached the table and swiftly caught the rodent with a cloth.
It is unknown whether the rodent fell onto the plate or climbed onto the table.
Public Reaction and Recurring Issue
Some social media users noted that pest sightings are not uncommon in Lucky Plaza, with previous reports of rats near the entrance to the basement. Others observed the worker appeared experienced in catching rodents, suggesting this may be a frequent occurrence.
