‘Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’ Filming Postponed After Mary Cosby’s Son’s Death

“The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” Season 7 production has been temporarily paused following the death of Mary Cosby’s son, Robert Jr.

Sources close to the show confirmed that filming was scheduled to start this week but has been postponed due to the tragedy.

Although the show wasn’t actively filming at the time of Robert Jr.’s death, sources indicate the tragedy will likely be a significant part of the upcoming season.

Salt Lake City Police responded to a call regarding a medical emergency involving a 23-year-aged male on Monday evening, and Robert Jr. Was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mary Cosby shared a statement with USA Today, saying, “Our beloved son Robert Jr. Has been called home to the Lord. Though our hearts ache, we take comfort in God’s promise and in knowing he is finally at peace. We are grateful for your prayers and trust in the Lord to carry us through this time of sorrow.”

Robert Jr. Had been open about his struggles with substance abuse, discussing them with his mother during season five of the show. He was 23 years old.

Prior to his death, Robert Jr. Faced legal challenges, including an arrest for trespassing and assault in September 2025. His wife filed for divorce several months later.

Bravo released a statement expressing their condolences, stating Mary is a “cherished member of our family” and their thoughts are with her and her loved ones.
